Debunk the rumour day has come and gone, and what happens now remains to be seen. My workload started with this post, and then moved into a real job role in this collaboration at the Free Press. The ‘Truth and Rumours’ package was joined by a Tim Campbell column, suggesting we all just take a chill pill to help alleviate our collective NHL fever.

Are things happening? Who knows. Judging from the amount of laughter I found on the other end of the phone in Saskatchewan and Alberta when the topic came up, I’d say there’s no chance. If they are, True North and those concerned with the purchase of an NHL club are doing an excellent job of keeping things hush-hush.
