God Wanted That Non-Call
Not that I care either way (and I don’t, as the over line winnings were already in my pocket despite the conclusion), but much like the New York Giants offensive line gave a clinic on how to hold when Eli Manning threw up that prayer to David Tyree in the Super Bowl, it was a facemask. Settle down, Green Bay. It was after the fumble, which would have meant the Cardinals offence would have scored from the line of scrimmage on the very next play.

Kurt Warner: Call it, Christ! I want to throw for a sixth touchdown!
Early thoughts on the coming conference semifinal games include:
- The Jets and Ravens are suddenly very relevant. Or they’re not. Maybe they are. Especially Baltimore. If they run the ball like that, they’ll be hard to beat. Indy should be more than a little concerned. or they shouldn’t. Who knows? It’s funny how people can get all caught up in the teams that won last weekend.
- It just got a little more annoying out there. Has you noticed how everyone is a Dallas fan again? A Deion jersey spotted at 7-Eleven last night. Big Gulps, huh? Well, see you later. Suddenly, Cowboys are cool again. Don’t know about you, but I could use another 14-year break.
- If Arizona can play just a little defence — and I mean just A LITTLE DEFENCE — they’ll give New Orleans a battle. Over/under on that game: 140 points.
- I wonder if the Jets can hang with San Diego. That’s the toughest game of the weekend for me right now. They have more talent overall, but there are some bad match-ups for the Chargers.
- Donny McNabb has to be shown the door now. He’s done nothing but bring the Eagles close to greatness and in the world of pro sports, that doesn’t cut it. What’s more impressive: His inaccuracy or his longevity in pulling the Eagles levers. He must have something on Andy Reid or something. Speaking of Reid, how does it feel to be out-coached by Wade Phillips? That’s got to be hard to live with.
