In exactly six weeks from now, Boxing Day arrives. Check the calendar. Six weeks. To mark this occasion, I will probably be waking up at 5 a.m. on this special retail day and heading out to talk to shoppers who have been waiting in line all night to save a couple hundred bucks on stereo equipment that will certainly be obsolete in six months. Yo, check out this rebate on these speakers! And I only had to lose three toes to frostbite in line! Or there will that guy who buys three plasmas for his house, just to make sure there’s a TV in every room. You know, because that’s what really matters. But it’s a great deal, though. Totally worth it.

Yeah, should be a good time all around. Not only will I have little investment in the buying habits of these strangers, I’ll also be dead tired during the information gathering and struggle to feign interest when hearing how they got their great parking spot. It’s win-win over here! In any event, if things go as scheduled or not, I should still manage to pull it together better than Travis Barker (above) that morning. Sorry, that’s mean. He looks pretty good. And it’s his birthday today, so he gets a pass. Thirty-four years young, if you didn’t feel old already. Great drummer. Terrible gift wrapping.
