As we all settle in for a little Winnipeg Blue Bombers Football Club action at our local watering hole tonight, why not mix it up with a different beer every time the team goes two and out? Hopefully, you’re at a bar that has a lot of variety and maybe an old NHL game to weigh these comparisons against during the three minute warning. Whatever that is.

New Jersey Devils are Labatt 50: You never really consider them a favourite but they still get the job done at the end of the night. It’s also surprising when you find out others like it. Both logos once looked like 1970’s train wrecks but have gotten much better over time.

Not sure what to expect from the Bombers and the Michael Bishop reset. Shockingly, none of the bars in Missoula had the game against Toronto last Saturday, so I can’t really comment yet. I do know that scoring only 13 points off of seven turnovers is absolutely mind-boggling — with or without a bonafide CFL quarterback at the controls. It’s almost impossible to be that unproductive, but let’s see what the new guy can do with another week of practice under his belt.

Vacation is over. No grizzly attacks under the unrelenting Montana sun, so the 4th Star is back and running at full power once again. A post game autopsy analysis to come either later tonight or tomorrow morning. Oh, and those of you wondering about Theo Fleury, the real reason for the proposed comeback seems to be a financial one. What, you thought those frosted tips came cheap?
